What Stripe Does

Connecting Stripe lets your members pay by card online — when booking a space, subscribing to a plan, or paying an invoice. Members can save their card and be charged automatically on their billing date.

Connecting Stripe

  1. Go to Settings → Integrations
  2. Click Add next to Stripe
  3. You'll be taken to Stripe's website — log in or create a Stripe account
  4. Authorise Co-Desk to access your account
  5. You'll be redirected back to the Integrations page — Stripe will now appear as active
  6. Click Add location to associate Stripe with your location(s)
  7. Once a location is added, click Settings to complete any configuration

What Happens After Connecting

  • Members can enter and save their card in the member portal
  • Bookings can be paid by card at checkout
  • Membership invoices are charged automatically on the billing day
  • All payments appear in your Stripe dashboard and in Finance → Transactions in Co-Desk
  • Invoices in Co-Desk sync automatically with Stripe — no manual reconciliation

Manual Payment Methods

If you also want to accept Cash or Bank Transfer (in addition to Stripe):

  1. Go to Settings → Integrations
  2. Click Add next to Accept Cash Payments and/or Accept Bank Payments
  3. Click Add location to assign it to your location(s)

Members can then choose their preferred payment method at checkout. You record manual payments yourself once received.

Disconnecting Stripe

To disconnect Stripe, go to Settings → Integrations and click Remove next to Stripe. Existing paid invoices are not affected, but card payment will be unavailable for new bookings until reconnected.


Common Questions

Do I need to configure webhooks manually? No — webhooks are set up automatically when you connect Stripe.

Can I use Stripe and Cash at the same time? Yes — all payment methods can be active simultaneously. Members choose at checkout.

What currency does Stripe use? Stripe uses the currency set in your location settings. Make sure your Stripe account supports that currency.
